"The brothers Igor (gtr., voc.) and Yuri (drums) are the main characters from these little big band from Sao Paulo, Brasil.
The band serves very good swing and jump with the company of a lot of guests. Guests are Enrico Crivellaro, Jamie Wood, Steve Guyger and Nuno Mindelis, to name a few of them. Near good time swing and jump the band also brings fine harpblues. Those guys from Brasil looked at Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner but also at Litlle Charlie and James Harman. These musicians bring the covers and also their own written songs with such a high musical level, that you will enjoy this cd from the beginning to the end. Very most of the time, the bands have guests on their cd just to put their name on the inlay, but this is not so with The Prado Blues Band. Listen to Jamie Wood on 'Honeysuckle Rose'. It is just like she is backed by the orchestre of Lucky Millinder. So romantic! Or hear Guyger's singing and very strong harpwork on 'Goodbye Goodbye Blues'. This song could stand on a cd of James Harman, no problem! The beautiful sound of the piano makes from the instrumental 'Blues For Mother Alice' a very fine jazzsong. And it looks if they wait to the end of the cd to serve the dessert. 'Jamming With Crivellaro' is the song where Enrico may show all his tricks.
If you, till today, associate Brasil with Pele or the carnival in Rio.... from now on I will complete this list with The Prado Blues Band!"
